The SPARKLLE name was developed in collaboration with a wonderful friend and colleague during our time spent working with itinerant preschool students. We created a unique phonology program and called it Sparklle. When I entered the blog world in 2013, with my colleague's permission, I carried the name with me.
Despite not currently working with preschool students, I continue to have a professional interest in phonology. I love seeing the growth made while servicing this population at the kindergarten level. I also truly enjoy using literature within my therapy sessions. Reading to students and discussing books brings me great joy. I love a good theme and find starting within this framework helps me effectively plan lessons across my caseload. Using and creating visual supports has become a passionate niche. I push most of my services into K-5 inclusive classrooms.
I am a wife and a mother to three active children (pre-teen and teenagers now). When I'm not driving them (or tracking their own driving) to their many extracurricular activities, including horseback riding, skiing & snowboarding, running, diving, and soccer, I thoroughly enjoy creating products for Teachers Pay Teachers. In the summer you can find me at the beach on Lake Erie and any time we can save up and sneak in a vacation, I'll be at Disney World! I've had a (healthy:) obsession with tiny house living and traveling and currently own a teardrop trailer that accompanies me as I explore more of the United States. So far my youngest 2 children and I have checked off 29 states in our quest for 50.
